Your taxes, finally legible.

We prepare business and individual returns for owners, landlords, and the self-employed — and we answer the questions the forms never do. Not just what you owe, but why, and what to do about it next year.

Based in Texas. Working with clients across the country.

Part II The questions that actually keep you up

Insight is knowing what the numbers mean. Clarity is knowing what to do.

  1. Line 1

“Should my business be an S-Corp?”

Sometimes. It depends on your profit, how you pay yourself, and what it costs to run. We model it with your actual numbers — not a rule of thumb — and tell you plainly whether the switch pays for itself.

  2. Line 2

“Am I paying myself the right way?”

Salary versus distributions is where owners overpay — or invite an audit. We set reasonable compensation you can defend, and structure the rest so the savings are real.

  3. Line 3

“What can my rental actually deduct?”

Depreciation, repairs versus improvements, passive-loss limits, and what happens when you sell. Schedule E rewards owners who track the right things — we tell you which ones.

  4. Line 4

“Why do I owe so much every April?”

Because nobody planned. Quarterly estimates, entity choice, and timing decisions made in October change the number in April. We do the planning, not just the filing.

  5. Line 5

“I got a letter from the IRS.”

Most notices are solvable, and almost none are as bad as they read. We decode what it actually says, what the deadline really is, and the cleanest path to closing it.

Part III What we do

Three things, done thoroughly.

01

Business Tax Returns

For corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships

Forms 1120, 1120-S, and 1065, prepared with the owner’s compensation, distributions, and basis tracked properly — because those are what determine your personal return. Every K-1 reconciled. Every entity decision revisited before the year closes, not after.

  • Entity returns and all owner K-1s
  • Reasonable-compensation and distribution planning
  • Basis and at-risk tracking
  • Multi-state filings where you operate
  • Year-end planning meeting before the numbers are locked
02

Individual Tax Returns

For the self-employed and rental property owners

A Form 1040 with a Schedule C or Schedule E is a business return wearing a personal return’s clothes. We treat it that way — depreciation done right, deductions substantiated, estimates set so next April isn’t a surprise.

  • Form 1040 with Schedules C, E, and SE
  • Depreciation schedules built and maintained
  • Home office, vehicle, and equipment substantiated
  • Quarterly estimated payments calculated
  • Rental sale and 1031 exchange guidance
03

Tax Resolution

For anyone with a notice, a balance, or unfiled years

IRS letters are written to be frightening and hard to read. We translate them, establish what is actually owed, file whatever is missing, and pursue the payment plan or penalty relief that fits your situation — with you in the loop at every step.

  • Notice review and plain-English explanation
  • Unfiled and amended returns brought current
  • Installment agreements and penalty abatement
  • Transcript analysis to confirm what the IRS actually has
  • A written plan before anything is sent

Part IV How it works

No surprises. That’s the whole point.

  1. 1

    A conversation, not a questionnaire

Thirty minutes on the phone or video. You tell us how the business or property actually runs. We tell you what we see, what we’d need, and what it costs — before you commit to anything.

  2. 2

We do the work, and show it

Documents go into a secure portal. We prepare the return and walk you through it line by line, so you understand what you are signing and why the number is what it is.

  3. 3

Then we plan the next one

Filing is the end of last year. The consultation after filing is the start of this one — entity, compensation, estimates, and the two or three decisions that will actually move the number.

Part V Who you’re working with

Matthew Duston

Duston360 Tax Solutions is a small firm on purpose. You work with the person who prepares your return, who answers the phone when the letter arrives, and who remembers what your business looked like last year when planning this one.

The name is the promise: the whole picture. The entity, the owner, the property, and the plan — looked at together, because the IRS certainly looks at them that way.
